Elizabeth Molly Ramlo, 94

Elizabeth Molly Ramlo, 94, of Austin, died at Sacred Heart Care Center Tuesday, April 19, 2011.

She was born June 14, 1916, to James and Mary (Schuchard) Ryan in Wabasha, Minn. Elizabeth and her family lived in Millville, Minn., until 1930 when they moved to nearby Lake City where Elizabeth graduated from High School. She married Dale Ramlo on Sept. 3, 1940, in Britt, Iowa. They made their home in Mason City, Iowa, and moved to Fort Dodge, Iowa, in 1941. When Geo. A. Hormel & Co. transferred Dale to the Austin plant in 1943, Elizabeth joined him. Elizabeth and Dale had three sons, Scott, Mark and David Roy. David Roy was born in 1946 and lived only one day. The family belonged to St. Olaf Lutheran Church, and Elizabeth enjoyed golfing, playing cards, baking and traveling. Dale passed away in 2004.

Survivors include two sons, Mark (Gretchen) Ramlo of Austin; Scott (Tammy) Ramlo of Roscoe, Ill.; two grandchildren, Daniel and Alyssa; other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Dale; an infant son; brother; sister; brother-in-law and sister-in-law.

Memorial services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 23, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin with Pastor Ron Barnett officiating. Friends may greet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Worlein Funeral Home in Austin is in charge of arrangements. Interment is at Grandview Cemetery, Austin.
