Stillwater, Minn., was recently named one of America’s prettiest towns by Forbes Magazine.
Forbes bestowed the title on 11 American cities, working with travel experts from top travel publications including Frommer’s, Rough Guides and Midwest Living. The article featured a photo of Stillwater’s historic courthouse and cited its location on the scenic St. Croix River and its story-book looks, especially at Christmas time. “It’s very picturesque, with events all over town and white lights blinking everywhere you look,” the reviewer stated.
“We are thrilled to be named one of the prettiest towns in America by such a prestigious publication, such as Forbes,” said Steve Roll, Chair of the Stillwater Convention and Visitors Bureau. “We take a tremendous amount of pride in the ambiance and cleanliness of our town and make the most of our naturally beautiful location on the St. Croix River.”
