Semcac announced it will now offer Early Head Start in Mower County. This is an expansion of our Head Start pre-school program, in partnership with Mower County Health and Human Services and the Mower County Collaborative. Early Head Start helps parents support and nurture their children, including support to pregnant women.

A qualified educator will provide weekly home visits focused on parent education and support, child development, screenings, and family goal setting. Bi-monthly group socializations provide opportunities for families to get together and share. Early Head Start is now accepting applications for pregnant women and parents with newborns to age 3.
