City council to meet Monday

The Austin City Council will meet at 5:30 p.m. Monday in the City Council Chambers. Meetings are open to the public.
The agenda includes:
Public hearing on the vacation of a public right-of-way in the Original Village — a portion of First Street Northeast.
Public hearing on the preliminary plat of Hangge Third Addition.
Approving purchase of LOGIS computer software and authorizing the mayor and city recorder to sign the Joint and Cooperative Agreement.
Resolution in support of high speed rail link through Rochester.
Approving Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development grant application for flood mitigation.
Approving street closing request from Bobee Jo’s Bar for June 27 and Sept. 5 street dances.
Resolution granting the removal of junk, illegally-stored vehicles and/or public nuisances and health hazards at the following locations: 209 Sixth St. N.W., Citi Financial Services property; 1704 East Oakland Ave., DeAyala property; 802 11th Ave. S.W., Engler and Cifuentes property; 1018 Second Ave. N.E., Winkels property; 1006 11th Ave. S.W., Mitchell property; 406 Sixth St. N.E., Buxton property; 400-406 North Main St., Leon property.
Approving transfer of property relating to the I-90 culvert project.
Flood mitigation — scattered site acquisitions.
A work session will follow the regular meeting in the City Hall Conference Room.
The agenda includes: a closed session on property acquisition for the jail and justice center project; the Spamtown Belle; lot consolidation; and residential handicap ramps.
