The ribbon cutting ceremony for the newest stretch of the Shooting Star bike trail will take place at 6:30 p.m. Monday, June 25. The event will be held near the Rose Creek fire station and city hall, at the intersection of County Highway 4 and Highway 19.

Legislators, commissioners and Department of Natural Resources representatives have been invited to the ceremony, said Becky Hartwig, owner at the Rose Pedaler. After the ribbon is cut, cake will be served.

“It’d be great,” she said.

Leading up to the event, all are invited to join in on a bike ride along the new trail segment from Adams to Rose Creek. Organizers are hoping for 100 people to participate in the ride, Hartwig said. Anyone interested in riding can show up, and the group will depart at 6 p.m.
