A thunderstorm left parts of Ellis Middle School temporarily without power Monday morning.

The power outage occurred around 8:30 a.m. and left some classrooms, such as the music department, without power for between 30 to 45 minutes. Most classrooms were unaffected by the outage and power was restored to all classes by 9:30 a.m., school officials say.
