Elois Anderson, 94, Northfield

The funeral service for Elois Aleanna Lageson Loken Anderson will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at First Lutheran Church in Ellendale. Friends may visit with family one hour before service at the church. Interment will be in the First Lutheran Cemetery, Ellendale.

Elois died Wednesday, July 4, 2012, at Three Links Care Center, Northfield. She was 94 years old.

Elois was born in Ellendale on Nov. 24, 1917, the daughter of Enock John and Agnes Elnora (Miller) Lageson. She attended Ellendale Schools. She was confirmed May 5, 1931, in Ellendale. Elois had lived in Ellendale, New Richland, Shakopee and Chanhassen, and returned to Ellendale. She was a member of First Lutheran Church in Ellendale and was a member of the ladies aid women’s group. She was married to Clarence Loken who preceded her in death Feb. 22, 1967, and later married Kenneth Anderson who preceded her in death Dec. 26, 1986.

Elois had worked at Sears & Roebuck. She was a homemaker and was known for her excellent cooking. She loved to entertain family and friends. She loved gardening and traveling, taking her to 28 countries. She was a caretaker for many friends and family. She loved knitting, crocheting, making quilts and rugs. Elois was very religious and intellectual, she enjoyed reading and keeping up with current affairs.

Elois is survived by her child, Shirley Nord of Faribault; daughter-in-law, Ann Loken of Northfield; six grandchildren: Curt Loken of Northfield, Wanda Bottema of Northfield, Monica Hutchinson of Meltonna, Craig Loken of Northfield, Jody Ulrich of Dodge Center andJulie Malecha of Northfield; 14 great-grandchildren; 11 great-great-grandchildren; brother, Luther Lageson of Biwaeik.

Elois was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Clarence Loken in Feb. 22, 1967; husband Kenneth Anderson in Dec. 26, 1986; sons: Vernon LeRoy Loken in Nov. 6, 1960, and Lonnie Burnett Loken in July 25, 1997; brothers: Stanley Lageson and Gene Lageson.
