Disagrees with voter ID opinion

I take exception to Bob Vilt’s column in your Sunday paper.
I would wonder why anyone would not want to ensure fair and honest elections. I have witnessed attempts at voter fraud right here in Austin, Minn. Voter ID would have nothing to do with narrowing voter participation. I’m sure that if such a law was passed that Democrats and Republicans as well as Independents would all be willing and able to help any person who did not have a valid Minnesota driver’s license to get a proper ID. This help could be both financial as well as getting the proper paperwork, etc. The cost should be minimal as we should be able to use the driver’s license station where we all go to get our picture taken at time of renewal.
Mr. Vilt, what is your motive for being against something that would be good for all voters? Fraud could happen on either side.
