Driver dies when pickup rolls near Albert Lea

TWIN LAKES — An Albert Lea man died in a rollover about a fourth of a mile east of Twin Lakes around 1:15 a.m. Friday.
Adam Richard Christenson, 30, of Albert Lea was reportedly driving east on Freeborn County Road 85 when he lost control of his 1997 Chevrolet pickup.
The Freeborn County Sheriff’s office reported that the truck entered the south ditch before crossing the road again, then entering the north ditch and rolled one time. The truck was found righted onto its wheels after rolling.
Christenson was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the pickup. He was the sole occupant of the vehicle and was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
No other automobiles were involved in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, and the the cause of the crash is also still being investigated. It was unclear as of press time whether alcohol, fatigue or road conditions were factors.
An ambulance crew from Mayo Clinic Health System in Albert Lea responded.
