Alleged burglar arrested

An Austin man has been taken into custody by Austin police stemming from a burglary that occurred late Monday afternoon.
According to Austin police, the burglary took place in the 700 block of Sixth Avenue Southeast at the home of James Miller, 30, and was reported at around 5:20 p.m.
Reported missing were a vehicle valued at around $2,000; a 46-inch flatscreen TV valued at $2,500; a Playstation with controller and games and an iPod Shuffle valued together at around $500.
The subject, 20, is a cousin and told a third party he had some of the items, police said. The party then reported it to police.
Among those items recovered were the vehicle, Playstation and iPod. The TV is still unaccounted for.
The subject is currently being held in the Mower County Jail awaiting charges.
