An Austin woman allegedly has gone missing after leaving her daughter’s house without a word.

According to Austin Police, officers responded to a missing person report around 6:30 p.m. Monday for Austin resident Linda Vilt. The 64-year-old woman was visiting her daughter in Albert Lea when she left her daughter’s residence without saying where she was going. The daughter reportedly told police she had no idea where her mother could be and it was unlike her to leave without saying anything. Vilt’s cell phone was reportedly off.

Police do not know whether Vilt left in a car or on foot, and do not have a description or a picture of the woman. The report does not list any medical conditions she may have.
