STEWARTVILLE — The Hayfield Legion baseball team clinched a trip to the District tournament when it beat Rochester Lourdes 7-4 in a ‘True Second’ Sub-District game in Stewartville Saturday night.

Tyler Nelson struck out seven and tripled in the win for Hayfield (13-5 overall).

Hayfield lost to Stewartville 7-0 Saturday afternoon, which forced it to play in the elimination game.

Hayfield will now play La Crescent in New Richland Thursday at 5 p.m. in the first round of the District Tournament.
