LETTER: Sovereignty legislation good for state

Published 10:35 am Friday, March 6, 2009

On Feb. 19, several State Congressmen put together proposed legislation to protect the sovereign rights of the people of the State of Minnesota. The chief author is Rep. Marty Seifert (R-Marshall) and House Minority Leader. This legislation, if passed, will assert State sovereignty in the case of any exercise of unauthorized power through Federal Executive orders, Congressional actions or Judicial orders. Advocates of big government try to use all branches to bolster Federal power over the States’ roles in protecting individual rights. You need to contact your area Congressmen and ask them to immediately sign HF 997 for MN State Sovereignty and then contact Governor Tim Pawlenty at tim.pawlenty@state.mn.us and ask for his support.
