Trip over to Rochester ends with a reward

“Society is produced by our wants and government by our wickedness.” — Thomas Paine
I’m not sure this has any meaning these days unless you stop to think about it.
We had some Thomas’s in school but not any Paine’s.
Fred has retaken my spot on the couch, and now Mello is wandering around on the floor exercising her jaw with several jaw squeezes with one of her rubber balls.
Mello also likes to spend time with another device she uses to strengthen her paw-to-jaw pull. Fred just watches.
Last Tuesday I drove over to the VA Clinic in Rochester to determine parts of my health. My biggest villain in my life seems to be managing my blood sugar. Diabetes is not something that is easy to manage, but I’m working at it.
Following that, I stopped at the great big shop that has a huge book store and grill area with some unusual foods. I brought half of it home and ate the leftover portion and it rewarded me with a nice diabetic reading.
Jeanne and I attended the Stephanie Vilt and David Wagner wedding and visited extended family and friends. Then it was off to the Holiday Inn to greet the bride and groom and to see a well-represented celebration of matrimony.
In the meantime Mello and Fred spent their indoor time either resting on the couch or barking at passers-by. In fact at the present moment Mello is attempting to bury a huge bone that she either stole from somewhere, or its one Jeanne most likely acquired.
And as for the weather, what can I say. I was able to do some mowing in the backyard with my motor-less mower that tends to miss some of the grass. I think I’ll have to get to a motor-less mower mender and sharpen it.
The “boys” were home for a couple days the previous weekend, and then Lydia stopped by for a bit.
I’m not always sure what’s going on in the news. I prefer to read and write. I enjoy the Herald, and I went to church.
