LETTER: Welcome Center should be closed down

Published 10:16 am Thursday, March 5, 2009

Since 1996 I have been involved in the immigration issue. I have worked to educate people on the issue, and had a lot of success in southern Minnesota and northern Iowa. About 70 newspapers publish my letters on a regular basis. The federal government is where the problem is. They aren’t doing what the people want. About 80 percent of the people want legal immigration cut to 200,000 per year, instead of 1.2 million, and stop illegal immigration.

The problem you have in Austin is illegal immigration. I ask that you people in Austin call your mayor and your councilperson and demand that the Welcome Center be closed down. Now is the time, people — close it down.
