Austin residents dealing with computer problems can get connected once again with a local store that has expanded to a new location.

Owner Michael Sletten has moved his Computer Connection business from 111 1/2 Fourth Av. N.W. to 1106 10th Dr. S.E.

Sletten repairs computers as well as sells new and used models.

“We wanted to expand,” he said Tuesday, fresh off of Monday opening. “Our business is growing, we wanted to provide better service to our customers, and we wanted to give them more retail product.”

Sletten first opened his business six months ago and said he initially had the space to fix two computers at a time and now can fix up to seven.

He also offers a wide variety of products to computer enthusiasts.

“We can get you any brand name you want, new or used,” he said.

Sletten said he has worked with computers most of his life and his staff can fix both newer and older models, although some he admitted might not be cost effective to fix.

“For about $500, you can get a pretty fast new computer,” he said.

Computer Connection is open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Monday through Friday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday.
