Harriet L. Greeley, 82, of Austin, Minn., died peacefully on Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at home surrounded by her children and loving family.

Harriet was born Nov. 1, 1929, in Austin and grew up there. On March 7, 1945, she married John Greeley in Austin. John was serving in World War II. They moved to Austin, Grand Meadow and then back to Austin.

John worked for Hormel for 44 years and also farmed in Grand Meadow. Harriet enjoyed most of all being with her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-granddaughter. She loved rummage sales, the flower garden, lots of trees, the sound and feel of rain, also old movies, doing crossword puzzles, reading the newspaper, going for rides around town and visiting her children. Harriet also enjoyed collecting tiny bottles.

Our mother will be sadly missed and never forgotten. We love you Mom with all our hearts!

Survivors include her seven children, Larry (Donna) Greeley of Albert Lea, Minn, Rita Wyss of Austin, Cindy Greeley of Owatonna, Minn., Cathy Blahnik of Canton, Minn., VeNila (Darrell) Bublitz of Caledonia, Minn., Callie (Merlin) Anderson of Lyle, Minn., Becky (Barry) Elmore, Tacoma, Wa.; 20 grandchildren; 36 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Ronald Jorgenson of Rock Island, Ill.; nieces, nephews and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her husband, John Greeley; parents, Caia and Martin Jorgenson; brother, Robert; sisters, Ramona and Marilyn; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

Private services were held.
