MINNEAPOLIS — Vice President Joe Biden plans to make a stop in Minnesota next week, adding to the busy political week ahead.
According to sources, Biden will hold rallies in Minneapolis and Rochester on Aug. 21. He has not scheduled any fundraising events along with the visit.
He will come to Minnesota two days before presumptive Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney is scheduled to stop in the Twin Cities suburbs for a fundraiser and three days before a tentatively special session for flood relief.
Biden stopped in Minnesota in each of the last two years — in 2009 for a $250,000 fundraiser and in 2010 to support Mark Dayton’s bid for governor and other Democrats on the ticket.
