Here’s your chance to make a difference. Organizers for the Salvation Army’s thrift store say they don’t have the abundance of donations they usually have and are in need of clothes.

It’s been an unusually cold January, and add on top of that a struggling economy, so perhaps those in need are out in greater numbers than in previous years.

Whatever the reasons, we can help keep up with demand by going through our homes and closets and by doing some spring cleaning in February.

Gather up the clothes you don’t wear and donate them to a good cause.

After all, it’s a win-win situation. Our closets will be less cluttered, and we can help someone in need at the same time.
