Hounds drop first game at state tournament

ST. CLOUD — The Austin Greyhounds lost their first round game at the Class ‘B’ state tournament by a score of 2-0 to Cold Spring in Putz Field Friday.
Cold Spring committed five errors but their pitcher Zach Femrite allowed just three hits. The Springers took the lead for good with a run in the fourth inning.
Joe Kroc had two of the three hits for Austin (21-21 overall).
The Hounds will play an elimination game against Dundas Saturday at 11 a.m. in St. Cloud.
