BLAINE — The Austin Bruins mustered just 10 shots on goal in regulation and overtime, but they walked a way with a 3-2 shootout win over Corpus Christi in the NAHL Showcase in Blaine Thursday.

Riley Colvard, AJ Reid and Colton Kramer all connected on their shootout goals, while Austin goalie Nicholas Lehr, who had 19 saves, stopped three of the two shots he saw in the shootout.

The Bruins (1-1 overall) scored two first period goals as John Simonson and CJ Smith found the back of the net, but they struggled to get any offense after that. Corpus Christi tied the game when Brandon Smith scored early in the third period.
