Normanna Lodge offering $1,000 scholarships

Normanna Lodge No. 52 of the Sons of Norway is offering two $1,000 scholarships to people with at least a 3.5 grade point average (on a scale of 4.0); who have completed at least two years of college; and intend to enroll in a program that leads to a concentration in Norwegian studies.
Norwegian studies can include: crafts, history, international studies, language, literature, music, politics, folklore, mythology, women, etc. The money will be paid to the recipient’s college Dec. 1 after a statement is received from the college indicating enrollment in a Norwegian Studies program. The student has no obligation to Normanna Lodge following acceptance of the scholarship.
Applications should be postmarked by March 15. To request your college, send a transcript of credits to the below address, also postmarked by March 15.
The money used for these scholarships has been given by Shirley M. Bartholomew, Bertha Weiks and other members and friends of Normanna Lodge.
