Scrapbookers, stampers and cardstock collectors, rejoice!

The fourth annual Southern Minnesota Scrapbook Convention will come to the Holiday Inn in Austin this weekend.

“It’s just a great weekend,” said Cathy Dostal, convention organizer and owner of Remember When Scrapbooking. “[Participants] can come out and see some of the latest things in the scrapbooking and card industry.”

There will be vendors on hand for scrapbooking needs, and classes will start Friday night. Dostal said con-goers can learn how to do simple cards, two-page scrapbook layouts, and even decorate a tin star. There will also be several make-and-takes as well.

The convention runs Sept. 21-23, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 21, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 22, and though vendors won’t be at the convention on Sunday, Sept. 23, participants will be able to continue scrapbooking.
