It’s one of the most exciting weeks of the year at Austin High School: homecoming week.

This year the Packer football team will take on the Mayo Spartans at 7 p.m. Friday at Art Hass Stadium.

But it all builds up to that moment with plenty of team spirit throughout the week. Among in-school activities all week long under the theme “Mayo Can’t Ketchup,” a homecoming dance will be held 8:30-11:30 p.m. Saturday in Hastings Gym.

Coronation will be 2 p.m. Wednesday at the school; distinguished alumni will speak during the week, and a Friday parade starts at 3:30 p.m. from the high school parking lot.
