The Austin Greyhounds beat Pine Island 9-2 in five innings at Marcusen Park Friday.
The Hounds (3-1 overall) drew six walks in a four-run second inning to take over the game, which was called due to rain in the fifth.
Joe Huffman and Nels Nelson didn’t allow any earned runs on the mound for Austin.
“Nels walked a a few guys, but it was mostly because of the wet conditions,” Hounds player/manager John Frein said. “We got some at bats and some innings in so that was good.”
