After allegedly running over a skunk on purpose, a local 17-year-old may face a charge for cruelty to animals.

A witness called police at about 9:49 p.m. Sunday and said he or she saw the teen run over the skunk on purpose near Riverside Arena. An officer found the teen, and the teen allegedly admitted he ran over the skunk but did not know why he did it.
