Jacquelyn L. ‘Jacque’ Trotman, 63, of Blooming Prairie, Minn., died Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Mayo Clinic Health System-Austin, Minn.
Jacquelyn Lee McFarlin was born July 12, 1949, in Blooming Prairie to Maurice and Luella (Nelson) McFarlin. Jacque was a lifelong resident of Blooming Prairie, graduating from Blooming Prairie High School in 1967. After attending Austin Community College for one year, she married James E. Trotman on July 6, 1968, in Owatonna, Minn. A member of First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie, Jacque was a homemaker who loved sewing, quilting, gardening and taking care of her flowers, cooking and baking. She especially enjoyed making treats for her family.
Survivors include her husband James Trotman of Blooming Prairie; sons Ryan (Bonnie) and Lance (Ellen) Trotman, both of Northfield, Minn.; five grandchildren Ahnika, Cully, Keandra, Camden and Tristen; brothers Mike (Susan) McFarlin of Virginia, Steve (Judy) McFarlin of Starbuck, Minn., sister Roberta (Dean) Lembke of Northfield; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Maurice and Luella, her son Grant, and one granddaughter, Arianna.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at First Lutheran Church in Blooming Prairie with Pastor Charles Leonard and Pastor Heidi Heimgartner officiating. Interment will follow at Blooming Prairie Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 31, 2012, at the Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home, and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. The family asks that memorials be directed to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Blooming Prairie Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
