Evangeline June Austinson, 91, of Austin, Minn., died Friday afternoon, Nov. 9, 2012, at Our House Assisted Living.

She was born Feb. 14, 1921, to Theodore and Mary (Martinson) Austinson in Austin. After attending country school, Evangeline graduated from Austin High School in 1939. She lived in California for a short time and returned to Austin. She moved to Brownsdale on Oct. 5, 1995, and to Our House Assisted Living in March 2011. Evangeline loved doing crossword puzzles and was a big Minnesota Twins fan. She was interested in politics, enjoyed reading and was very proud that she was born on Valentine’s Day.

Survivors include nieces, Lois Reinke of Owatonna, Minn., and Judy Reinke of Austin; a great nephew, Jeff (Vanessa) Reinke of Brownsdale and their children Alex, Kiele, Ryan and Logan; great niece Susan Freese of Blooming Prairie and her children, Nicholas and Joshua. She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Verna Reinke.

Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m., Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Oakwood Cemetery with Pastor Shari Mason officiating. There will be no visitation or reviewal. Condolences may be expressed to the family online at www.worlein.com.
