MASON CITY — The Riverland Community College women’s basketball team allowed NIACC to have too many chances as it lost its first game of the season by a score of 60-52 on the road Tuesday.

The Blue Devils (3-1 overall), who are ranked No. 4 in the NCJAA Division III national polls, suffered 31 turnovers and allowed 23 offensive rebounds.

“Their pressure was the difference in the game,” RCC head coach Suzy Hebrink said. “They had to many opportunities for lay-ups in transition.”

Austin grad Rebekah Aase had 18 points and 21 rebounds in the loss for RCC.
