Paramount loads December for holidays

The Historic Paramount Theatre is bustling with a plethora of holiday entertainment options this December.

The fun begins at 7:30 p.m. Thursday with The Whitesidewalls. Their humor, high energy and attention to musical detail makes audiences keep coming back for more.

Then at 2 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 2 the Mower County Senior Center will have a holiday fundraiser concert featuring Branson star Douglas Gabriel and his family. Tickets for that event can be ordered by calling 1-800-280-9757.

Another fundraiser event hits stage at 7 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, for the Freeborn-Mower County Chapter Red Cross. “Swingin’ into Christmas” featuring local talent Michael Veldman, Erin Schumacher, Dylan Kaercher, Teiler Miller, the Austinaires and Choralaires, The Swing Sisters, Jordan Bentley and more. Tickets for this event are still available, but are going fast.

Next up is Home Free Christmas at 4 p.m. on Dec. 9. Home Free is back in the area after a well received concert in Osage, Iowa this past October.

This awe-inspiring, fun-filled show is a cappella at its best, featuring beloved Christmas classics admist an extravagant light show and a flurry of other surprises.

The traditional songs of Christmas will be heard throughout the Paramount with SimpleGifts featuring Billy McLaughlin at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 13. Experience the breathtaking combination of angelic vocals and musical accompaniment that bring a modern flair to traditional Christmas carols.

Elvis tribute artist, Joe Sir, rounds out the holiday season with “The Elvis Tribute Show” at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 15. Joe takes audiences through all the generations of Elvis, complete with costume changes and a live band.

He will sing all of Elvis’s hits including some of his Christmas favorites.
