Patrick Finn Deml, 64, of Bella Vista, Ark., died Wednesday, Dec. 26, 2012, at a local skilled care center. He was born Nov. 21, 1948, the son of Julia Finn and Leonard Deml in Owatonna.

Patrick spent many years working as a welder on oil and gas pipelines throughout the west. He enjoyed the travel this involved and had especially fond memories of the time spent in Alaska working on the pipeline. The last six years were spent farming which he truly enjoyed.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his father-in-law, John Winter.

Patrick is survived by his wife, Judy Deml, whom he married Feb. 4, 1967, in Owatonna; one son, Adam Deml and his fiancé, Suzann Smith, of Bella Vista, Ark.; one brother, Michael Deml and his wife, Lynn, of Eagan; four sisters, Suzanne Calkins and her husband, Bill, of Skiatook, Okla., Karen McDowell of Duluth, Jocelyn Williams and her husband, Simon, of Dunecht, Scotland, and Julie Deml of Elk River; mother-in-law, Gladys Winter, of Bella Vista, Ark.; and his brother-in-law, Alan Winters and his wife, Karen, of Webster, S.D.

In keeping Patrick’s wishes, there will be no memorial services, but the family hopes you will take a moment to remember Pat’s Life.

Memorials may be sent to the hospice team of the donor’s choice.
