Packer boys score 10th straight win

WASECA — The No. 2 ranked Packers rattled off their 10th straight win to open the season when they beat Waseca (6-6 overall) 70-54 on the road Saturday.
Austin (10-0 overall) led just 20-19 early in the game, but it closed the first half on a 21-6 run. Austin junior Ajuda Nywesh, who scored a career-high 16 points, closed that run with a three-pointer right before the final buzzer of the half.
“Ajuda played real well and once we made that run, we were pretty much in control the rest of the way,” Austin head coach Kris Fadness said.
Austin senior Tom Aase scored 20 points on 8-of-13 shooting and he added three blocks in the win.
