Austin’s downtown is getting a new bar.

Dylan Nagle announced he will open Dusty’s Bar & Lounge on Main Street North across from Steve’s Pizza, and hopes to be up and running in April.

Nagle, who works at South Central Athlete, said the small, dimly-lit bar will have a relaxing atmosphere and an “old-school feel.” Dusty’s, which will be open Wednesday through Saturday, will also have a small kitchen.

Nagle said the bar isn’t named for anyone, but was chosen to conjure images of a classic lounge.

The exterior was renovated last year as part of Austin’s Main Street Project, along with its neighbors, Martial Arts Fitness Center and a photography studio, and two apartments above it.
