Two Austin women say they were attacked by three men who attempted to rob their home on Feb. 10.
On Friday, one of the suspects, Olal James Nathanael, 18, of Austin, was charged with felony second-degree aggravated robbery and terroristic threats, along with misdemeanor fifth-degree assault. One of the other three suspects, 18-year-old Emmanuel Oman, has also been charged with the same crimes.
The 17- and 28-year-old victims say the suspects knocked on their apartment door on Feb. 10 and tried to force their way in; however, they left when the women threatened to call 911. Still, the women say when they left for lunch and returned, the men waited for them in the apartment hallway, pushed them against a wall and threatened to shoot them. The men ran away after one of the victims yelled for help.
Nathanael eventually admitted to an investigator he was at the scene but said neither him nor the other suspects actually had a gun, according to the court complaint.
The third suspect has not been charged.
