Austin Public and Pacelli Catholic schools closed early Tuesday citing inclement weather. All sports and after-school activities are canceled.

Southland, Lyle, Blooming Prairie, Grand Meadow, Hayfield and LeRoy-Ostrander schools are also closed today.

Riverland Community College closed its campuses for Tuesday.

The vast majority of schools in southern Minnesota closed early Tuesday as much of the southern half of the state was still in a winter weather advisory, according to the National Weather Service. Two to four more inches of snow are expected today in Austin. Wednesday is expected to be mostly sunny with a light northwest wind.
