The Rivlerand men’s basketball team (3-7 overall) lost a close contest to Itasca Community College 79-77 on the road Saturday.

Riverland shot 36 percent (25-for-70) from the field and 42 percent (13-for-31) on three-pointers and Itasca shot 46 percent (32-for-69) from the field.

The game was tied at 43 at the half.
