One of two Austin teens charged with burglary after breaking into a woman’s home on Jan. 9 changed his plea to guilty Thursday in Mower County Court.
Cody Granle, 18, charged for second-degree burglary, a felony, pleaded not guilty Thursday in Mower County Court.
The other suspect, Alex Enright, 19, previously pleaded not guilty.
The homeowner reportedly returned home at about 2:30 p.m. Jan. 9 and saw the two suspects run from the back of her house to a black car. The homeowner gave the description of the suspects and car to police. The officer later found them at about 3:15 p.m. The suspects were reportedly trying to steal an Xbox and Playstation Portable. Enright was also charged with a misdemeanor for 1.4 grams of marijuana in a vehicle, to which he also pleaded not guilty.
Granle will be sentenced on May 17.
