Events can be streamed live online

Twice each year, leaders of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints broadcast sermons, announcements and instruction from the church’s conference center in Salt Lake City to members and interested listeners around the world, continuing a tradition more than a century old.

The 183rd General Conference will air on April 6 and 7.

The free, two-day event is broken into four sessions, each two hours long. Three sessions feature music from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. Thomas S. Monson, the president of the Church, is expected to speak during sessions. Members of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles and other international leaders will also present short sermons on contemporary application of the Christian gospel.

More than 3,000 Mormons comprise 11 congregations in the Rochester and La Crosse areas.

Conference sessions begin at 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. both days. Walk-in visitors are welcome at the Austin chapel at 404 31st Street NW.
