The first Holiday Tour of Homes, presented by the Mower County Chapter of the American Red Cross, takes place Sunday afternoon in Austin.

The hours will be 1-6 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $10 in advance or $12 Sunday.

Advance tickets may be purchased through 5 p.m. Saturday at the offices of the Mower County chapter of the American Red Cross, Home Federal Savings Bank, Hy-Vee, Sterling Drug at Sterling Main Street and The Hardy Geranium.

The five homeowners opening their homes for the Christmas holiday fundraiser are: Mark and Taylor Bliese, Lee and Lisa Aase, Dr. Barry and Pam Larson, Kevin and Sandy Anderson and Robert and Deanne Silbaugh.

The addresses are 1003 Fourth St. N.W., 800 Fourth St. N.W., 609 Fourth St. N.W., 811 10th St. N.W. and 2305 Eighth Ave. S.W.

The tour is self-guided. Tickets will be available at any of the residences.

Each family has incorporated changes, updates and renovations which showcase ingenuity while maintaining the original style.

Funds raised will go into the chapter’s general fund to help finance health and safety, personal care shelf, emergency disaster services and other missions of the local chapter.
