Business owner dies after motorcycle crash

An Austin business owner airlifted to Rochester after he crashed his motorcycle 10 days ago died yesterday afternoon at St. Marys Hospital.
James H. Grunewald, 62, sustained serious injuries in the April 8 accident, in which he lost control, entered the median and was thrown from a 2001 Honda Road Star motorcycle, according to the Minnesota State Patrol. Grunewald owned G&G Heating & Air Conditioning, at 807 12th St. SW in Austin.
The accident happened at about 2:30 p.m., on Interstate 35 about three miles north of the Iowa border near Round Prairie Lutheran Church. The State Patrol said alcohol was not involved in the crash.
Arrangements are pending at Clasen-Jordan Mortuary in Austin.
