Austin junior Erin Dankert drew a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the ninth inning to give the Packers a 5-4 win over Esko in the Elks softball invite at Todd Park Saturday.

Dankert took four straight balls with one out to score Jessi Smith, who singled to start the frame.

Austin junior Abbey Ball struck out 16 in the win for the Packers (2-3 overall).

“Abbey did a very nice job,” Austin head coach Cindy Owen said. “As the tourney progressed, we got better.”
