See up-and-coming talent at Fall Semester 2008 Fine Arts Showcase Wednesday, Dec. 10 at Riverland Community College.

Once every semester, RCC students exhibit art, music and theater work in a free public show.

“There’s a little bit of everything,” said Jerry Girton, RCC theater director. “The purpose is to give students the chance to show the work they do in their classrooms.”

Exhibits will include stage makeup and movement, piano and voice solos and intermediate acting monologues.

“It’s a lot of fun,” Girton said. “It’s a chance to see people you wouldn’t otherwise.”

The showcase begins at 7 p.m. in the Frank W. Bridges Theatre lobby with refreshments, and performances at 7:30 p.m.

Art will be on display in the lobby, and other performances will be in the theater.
