Verdell A. ‘Buck’ Schultz, 56, of Leroy, Minn., formerly of Austin, Minn., died Thursday, May 9, 2013, at his home.

Verdell A. ‘Buck’ Schultz, 56

He was born Aug. 31, 1956, in Austin to Arlin and Marcine (Wollenberg) Schultz. He grew up in Austin and attended Austin Public Schools. Buck worked at Cedar Valley Services for 12 years.

A member of St. Olaf Lutheran Church in Austin, he enjoyed music, playing his guitar and watching TV, especially old shows. He also enjoyed fishing, family vacations, attending camps and loved All Star Wrestling.

Survivors include three sisters, Lori (Thomas) Hintz of Rochester, Minn., Barbara Schultz of Rochester and Karie Schultz of Austin; one nephew, Ben Hintz of Rochester; one niece, Megan Hintz, also of Rochester; uncle Warren Wollenberg (Lynette Kopperud) of Edina, Minn.; many wonderful friends and other relativesz. He was preceded in death by his parents, Arlin and Marcine Schultz.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, May 13, 2013, at St. Olaf Lutheran Church. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be in Grandview Cemetery, Austin. Memorials can be directed to recipient of donor’s choice. Worlein Funeral Home of Austin is assisting the family with arrangements.
