Organizers with Vision 2020’s Bike/Walk Trails Committee are planning an informational meeting on the Prairie Star Trail System this Monday.

Area residents will hear an update on local trails projects from Mower County officials starting at 7 p.m. Monday inside the Ruby Rupner Auditorium at the Jay C. Hormel Nature Center.

Work on the Shooting Star Trail, part of the Prairie Star trail system, which will connect Austin with much of Mower County, has slowed since the trail stretched from LeRoy to Rose Creek. Officials are planning to have a route and land to connect the trail to Austin by this fall.
