The funeral service for Lucile Eleanor Voeltz will be 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 29, 2013, at Our Savior Lutheran Church, 401 West Main Street in Brownsdale, with the Rev. Jeff Sage officiating. Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 28, at the church. Interment will be in Frankford Cemetery in Rural Spring Valley, Minn.

Lucile Eleanor Voeltz, 101, died Wednesday, May 22, 2013, at Stewartville Care Center in Stewartville, Minn.

Lucile was born Feb. 8, 1912, in Grand Meadow, Minn., the daughter of Edward and Meta (Drewes) Schroeder. Lucile was united in marriage to Fredrick Voeltz on July 11, 1942, in South Tacoma, Wash. She and Fredrick lived in Prescott, Wis., from 1950-1980, on a dairy farm. They moved to Brownsdale in 1980-2004. Lucile was a homemaker. She had worked at the Canning Factory in Rochester, Minn., and at Camp Comfort Resort in Brainerd, Minn. After Fredrick passed away, she moved to the Cedars in Austin, Minn., and later to Stewartville Care Center.

Lucile is survived by her daughters, Lois (Edwin) Esterrich, Palatine, Ill.; Eleanor Voeltz, Mesquite, Texas; two grandchildren, Theresa Loza and Gary (Andrea) Seddon; two great-grandchildren, Samantha Loza, Emily Seddon; one great-great grandchild, Elena Marie Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fredrick; three infant sons; one infant daughter; two brothers, Leo and Reuben Schroeder; and one sister, Doris Hanson.

Czaplewski Family Funeral Home in Brownsdale is in charge of arrangements.
