Vision 2020 organizers will kick off the summer with the “Downtown Austin — Your Summer Destination” concert at 7 p.m. Friday.

The outdoor concert will take place on North Main Street near Steve’s Pizza as a precursor to the Tuesday’s on Main events hosted by the Austin Downtown Alliance.

Six Mile Grove will headline the concert. Entertainment will also included performances by Summerset Theater and Cosmic starting at 5 p.m.

Food venders and a Jaycees beer garden will add to the downtown festivities, which take place on a closed-off stretch of Main Street between Second and Fourth avenues.
