The Minneapolis-based nonprofit A Chance To Grow will hold its SMART Pre-K Workshop in Austin June 25-27 at the Hormel Historic Home.
The three-day workshop teaches educators how to integrate brain stimulating exercises into curriculum for children 3-5 years old. At the end of the three-day workshop, participants will leave prepared to start their own SMART classrooms, where movement anchors learning.
The workshop is a result of a grant from the Southern Minnesota Initiative Foundation geared toward expanding the SMART Pre-K program to southern Minnesota and providing more support and training to teachers to enhance children’s readiness skills.
