Applications open for Mrs. Mower County

Applications are now being accepted for the title of Mrs. Mower County. The winner will represent her county at the Mrs. Minnesota pageant held at Ritsche Auditorium March 8, 2014, in St. Cloud, Minn.
The woman chosen as Mrs. Mower County will become the area’s ambassador and will receive the official title and sash. The woman who is then chosen as Mrs. Minnesota will receive a $7,000 prize package and the chance to represent Minnesota at the 2014 Mrs. International Pageant in July.
Competitions in the pageant are personal interview, aerobic wear and evening gown. There are no talent or swimsuit competitions. The American Heart Association’s “Go Red for Women” is the official charity of the Mrs. Minnesota pageant. To learn more visit: www.goredforwomen.org.
The reigning 2013 Mrs. Minnesota is Andrea Bennett Xiong of St. Paul. Traveling across the state, Xiong speaks on her platform “Love is Not Abuse,” on dating violence and education.
