Every year toward the beginning of August, the Mower County Fair provides fun, food, livestock shows, grandstand events, free entertainment, and this year, a new grandstand. We encourage all area residents to stop by and check it out, starting Tuesday.

After demolishing the old grandstand, which engineers deemed structurally insufficient, fair officials are ready to showcase the new one next week. Grandstand entertainment starts with Motokazie Supercross on Tuesday, followed by a demolition derby on Wednesday, a tractor pull Thursday, Austin grown ‘80s metal cover band “Hairball” on Friday, bull riding and another tractor pull Saturday, and finishes with another demolition derby on Sunday. After all these years, the fair is still a staple of summer in Mower County.
