Charges likely for three caught with drugs

Three people will likely face charges after a resident overheard an alleged drug deal Friday morning and alerted police.
According to the Austin Police Department’s report, the resident alerted police at about 1:20 a.m. Officers found the three suspects, in their late teens and early 20s, in the 600 block of Third Avenue Northwest. Officers reportedly found individually wrapped packages of marijuana, pipes with residue on them, cash and a pair of brass knuckles. One of the suspects reportedly violated probation, and another had trace amount of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia, the report added.
